My name is Teri. Many in the singing community have known me for years as "That Sangin' Worship Leader." Leona Leavy is my recording name.
I’m a singer, songwriter, and Inspirationalist creating music about real truth, real freedom, and real life. From neo-soul and R&B to gospel, jazz, and country, I’ve never believed people—or music—fit neatly into one box. In fact, I don't believe we were created for a box, period.
Technology is part of my creative studio, helping me bring sounds, stories, and visual ideas to life and to the world for God's glory. But behind it all has always been a woman with something to say.

When I wrote “Teach Me How to Love You,” it came from a simple thought: just because I love you doesn’t mean I automatically know how YOU need to be loved. Sometimes we have to stop assuming, listen, and learn who the person we say we love is. This is a grown love song about being willing to do that. Not perfect love. Not fairy-tale love. Just two people saying, “Teach me. I’m willing to learn.” Musically, it blends Quiet Storm R&B with touches of neo-soul—warm, intimate, and honest.

I love God. I love gospel. And I love neo-soul. But I also know that when church is over, we still have to deal with life.
Gospel Me That Vol. 1 is for people who love God but are still living an actual life—loving, hurting, laughing, struggling, growing, getting some things right and getting some things very wrong.
I believe Jesus came for relationship, not religion. He meets us in real life, right where we are, and walks with us as we become whom we're called to be.
